Our Season and Rehearsals
Our season runs from September to mid-May, and each season begins with a pre-season retreat. We meet to learn and practice songs and tunes on the first three non-holiday Mondays each month during our season.
Singers meet on at the first rehearsal of the month, instrument players meet on the second rehearsal and we hold a joint rehearsal on the third. Rehearsal are two hours long in the mid evening.
Seirm does not hold formal auditions, but rather makes every attempt to include all who wish to participate.

Activity Fee
Seirm's activity fee is just $25.00 in addition to your Slighe nan Gaidheal membership to help the organization cover the costs of renting the rehearsal and performance spaces.
Performances
We customarily plan two performances per season of various kinds. Examples include informal music making at Slighe nan Gaidheal unofficial First Footing party on January 1st, semi-formal ceilidhs with guest artists and dancing, and full formal concerts.
During the summer, members of Seirm also do important outreach appearances at various events such as Highland Games, and the Northwest Folklife Festival. See our calendar of events for more information on current schedules.
